US Envoy Mourns Passing of Nembang

In a heartfelt tribute, the US Ambassador to Nepal, Dean R. Thompson, mourns the passing of Subash Chandra Nembang, Constituent Assembly Chair and CPN (UML) Vice Chairperson.

Ambassador Thompson took to Twitter to express his condolences and admiration for Nembang’s unwavering commitment to Nepal’s democratic and economic development, which served as an inspiration to many. He extended his deepest sympathies to Nembang’s family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time.

Nembang, aged 71, tragically passed away due to a heart attack at 1:40 am today while receiving treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj. Nepal has lost a dedicated leader and advocate for democracy and prosperity.
