Varied Weather Conditions Across Nepal Today

The diverse topography of Nepal is currently experiencing a range of weather conditions today, attributed to the partial impact of westerly winds. According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the hilly areas of Sudur Paschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki provinces are witnessing partly cloudy skies, while the rest of the country is experiencing mainly clear weather.

This afternoon, expect generally cloudy conditions in numerous locations of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces, accompanied by light rain in some areas of Gandaki and Lumbini provinces. Sudur Pachim has already witnessed morning rainfall, and there is light snowfall reported in certain high hilly and mountainous areas of Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces.

Meteorologist Govinda Jha forecasts that light rainfall will persist in the high and mountainous regions throughout the day. However, he assures that weather conditions will improve in other parts of the country, with temperatures gradually increasing starting tomorrow.

Tonight, the overall weather across the country will be partly to generally cloudy. There’s a possibility of light rain in some places of Sudur Paschim, Karnali, Lumbini, and Gandaki Provinces, along with light snowfall expected in a few locations in the mountainous region.

For Kathmandu, the Weather Forecasting Division reports a minimum temperature of 4.6 degrees Celsius today, with the maximum temperature expected to range between 15 and 17 degrees Celsius. The division encourages residents to stay updated on the evolving weather conditions and take necessary precautions.
