Vice President Yadav Attends German Unity Day Reception
Vice President Ramshahay Prasad Yadav attended a reception on Wednesday evening, hosted by German Ambassador to Nepal, Dr. Thomas Prinz, in celebration of Germany Unity Day. The event was held at the German Embassy in Kathmandu, marking the 33rd anniversary of German reunification.
During brief remarks, Ambassador Prinz expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the recent floods and landslides in Nepal. On behalf of the German government and people, he extended heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with the Nepali government and its citizens. As a mark of respect for the victims, a minute of silence was observed at the event.
Ambassador Prinz also highlighted the importance of President Ramchandra Paudel’s state visit to Germany earlier this year, noting how it had further strengthened the bond between the two nations. He expressed confidence that the relationship between Nepal and Germany would continue to grow in the future.
The reception was attended by lawmakers, senior government officials, heads of diplomatic missions, German citizens in Nepal, business representatives, media personnel, and other prominent figures. The gathering celebrated the enduring ties between Nepal and Germany while underscoring mutual cooperation in areas of shared interest.
