‘We have special tradition to respect all’
Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has extended his best wishes on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha (Bakra Eid). In a message of goodwill today, President Deuba highlighted the significance of Eid Al-Adha as a sacred festival celebrated by the Islamic community, contributing to religious tolerance and harmony in Nepali society.
“Nepal boasts a rich tapestry of languages, religions, cultures, and festivals since ancient times, with a tradition of respecting and recognizing everyone,” the message reads.
President Deuba expressed optimism that this festival would inspire peace, harmony, and prosperity in the country. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for happiness, peace, and prosperity to the entire Muslim community, emphasizing that Eid Al-Adha carries a message of unity among all castes and religions.
