39 High Court Judges Sworn In

In a momentous event on Monday, 39 newly appointed high court judges officially assumed their roles after taking the oath of office and secrecy. The solemn ceremony took place at the High Court Patan, where Chief Judge Nripadhwaj Niraula administered the oath in the presence of distinguished guests, including Law Minister Dhanraj Gurung and Chief Justice Bishowambhar Prasad Shrestha.

The appointment of these judges followed a crucial decision made during a Judicial Council meeting held on January 3, where the names of the selected individuals were revealed. The 39 judges bring diverse backgrounds to the bench, with 26 hailing from district courts, four from civil servants under the Judicial Service, and nine from the legal practitioners’ sector.
