SC Demands Statements from ‘Sidhakura.com’ Publisher, Editor in Defamation Case
The Supreme Court has issued an order on Monday summoning Yuvaraj Kandel, the publisher of ‘Siddhakura.com,’ and Nabin Dhungana, the Executive Editor, to provide their statements concerning the controversial publication known as ‘The Dark File.’
The directive from the division bench, comprising Justices Nahakul Subedi and Tek Prasad Dhungana, comes after allegations that ‘The Dark File’ was fabricated to defame the judiciary. This led to a lawsuit being filed against the publisher Kandel.
Further instructions have been given for the police to investigate the technical aspects of the audio, which was released publicly under the same title.
Pending the investigation, the Supreme Court has also ordered the temporary suspension of the publication and broadcast of the series ‘The Dark File.’
