35 Public Holidays in 2081 BS
The Nepali government has recently unveiled a roster of 35 public holidays to be observed throughout the year 2081 BS. The comprehensive list, disclosed by the Home Ministry, caters to various festivals, special days, and memorial occasions.
Of the total holidays, 27 are dedicated to festivals, emphasizing significant cultural and religious celebrations ingrained in the Nepali tradition. These festivals serve as moments of unity and reflection for the diverse communities across the nation.
In addition to festival holidays, six days have been earmarked to commemorate special national occasions, underlining the importance of collective identity and patriotism among Nepali citizens.
Furthermore, two days have been set aside as memorial days, paying tribute to pivotal events or individuals in Nepal’s rich history. These days serve as reminders of the sacrifices made and milestones achieved in the nation’s journey.
