Madhes Province to Maximize Use of Information Technology for Effective Public Services
Madhes Province is set to maximize the use of Information Technology to enhance the effectiveness of services delivered by public bodies. A discussion on implementing best practices related to ‘e-governance in Madhes Province’ was held at the office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers, involving concerned bodies and experts.
Dr. Sohan Sah, Vice-Chairperson of the Madhes Province Policy and Planning Commission, highlighted the initiative to implement e-governance to streamline and improve the services provided by public bodies in the province.
“In the beginning, digitalization will be practiced at the government level, and all stakeholders along with service recipients will be gradually incorporated into digitalization,” Dr. Sah shared.
Initially, e-governance will be launched in four local governments of Madhes Province and offices with a high flow of service recipients. Dr. Sah emphasized that a data-based approach would ensure good governance, and incorporating development partnership programs along with government offices into e-governance would yield effective results.
He expressed confidence that public offices in Madhes Province would maintain transparency and deliver services effectively through the use of information technology.
This move towards digitalization aims to make public services more accessible, efficient, and transparent, benefiting the citizens of Madhes Province.
