Devotees Flock to Pashupatinath and Lord Shiva Temples Across Nepal for Shrawan Worship
Devotees across Nepal thronged to the Pashupatinath temple and other Lord Shiva temples from the early hours of the morning, marking the special significance of the month of Shrawan and Monday for worshiping Lord Shiva.
In Kathmandu, the iconic Pashupatinath temple witnessed a massive influx of devotees who came to offer their prayers. The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has made extensive arrangements to facilitate the large number of worshippers and Bol Bum revelers. These arrangements include enhanced security, the mobilization of volunteers, efficient worship management, health camps, and provisions for drinking water.
Beyond the capital, similar scenes were observed at other significant Lord Shiva temples across the country. Devotees were seen taking holy dips and offering prayers at temples such as Gokarneshwor, Santaneshwor, Doleshwor, Kirateswor, Bhaleshwor, and Sanga in Kavrepalanchowk, as well as at Devghat in Tanahun and Galeshwor in Myagdi.
These temples, which hold deep religious importance, were bustling with activity as devotees sought blessings from Lord Shiva, particularly during the auspicious month of Shrawan, which is considered highly significant in Hindu tradition. The PADT’s comprehensive preparations ensured that the spiritual observances could be carried out smoothly, allowing devotees to immerse themselves in their religious practices.
