Bhaktapur District Administration Forms Probe Committee to Investigate Gaththaghar Road Accident
The District Administration Office, Bhaktapur, has formed a probe committee today to investigate the Gaththaghar road accident that claimed the life of a scooter rider. The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when a truck (Na 6 Kha 2173) struck a scooter (Ba 39 Pa 8944) near Gaththaghar Chowk, resulting in the death of 65-year-old Uttam Koirala from Okhaldhunga Chisankhugadhi rural municipality-4, Khahare, who had been residing in Kapan, Kathmandu.
Chief District Officer (CDO) Roshani Kumar Shrestha chaired a meeting that led to the formation of a five-member probe committee. The committee, headed by Assistant CDO Dolendra Prasad Nraula, has been tasked with submitting a report on the accident within seven days.
This comes after the Nepal Police, under the direction of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak, had already established a separate probe committee led by the SP of the Valley Police Office to investigate the incident.
