Bhutan Defeats Maldives 2-1 in SAFF U-20 Championship Match

Bhutan emerged victorious against the Maldives with a 2-1 win in today’s SAFF U-20 Football Championship match at ANFA Complex, Satdobato.
Bhutan’s goals were scored by Jignam Dorjee and Nowang Chopel, who found the net in the 22nd and 89th minutes, respectively. The Maldives’ lone goal was scored by Firak in the 59th minute. With this win, Bhutan and India are tied with three points each in Group B, while the Maldives remains without points. Earlier in the tournament, India had defeated Bhutan 1-0.
The next match will see host Nepal takes on Bangladesh at the same venue tomorrow at 3:00 pm.
