
Health Minister Paudel Arrives in New York for UN Population and Development Commission


Nepal’s Minister for Health and Population, Pradip Paudel, has arrived in New York to participate in the 58th session of the Commission on Population and Development at the United Nations Headquarters.
Upon his arrival, Minister Paudel was welcomed by Nepal’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Lok Bahadur Thapa, along with other officials from the Nepali Mission in New York.
Minister Paudel will be attending the high-level meetings of the commission scheduled for Monday and Tuesday. The week-long session, taking place from April 7 to 11, is focused on the theme “Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages,” in alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 3.
The event brings together global leaders and policymakers to discuss strategies for advancing public health and population development worldwide.
