RSP President Rabi Lamichhane to Appear Before Rupandehi District Court Today

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) President and former Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane is scheduled to appear before the Rupandehi District Court today (Monday) in connection with the Supreme Cooperative fraud and organized crime case.

Lamichhane was arrested in Kathmandu on Friday under an order from the Tulsipur High Court and was transferred to Rupandehi on Saturday morning. Due to the weekend public holidays on Saturday and Sunday, he has been held in the custody of the Rupandehi District Police Office until his court appearance.

Following today’s court proceedings, the legal formalities will be completed, and Lamichhane is expected to be formally sent to judicial custody.

Earlier, on Magh 13, Lamichhane had been released on bail of Rs 10 million in relation to the same cooperative fraud case.
