Admiral John C. Aquilino Observes Exercise Shanti Prayas

Admiral John C. Aquilino, Commander of the United States Indo-Pacific Command, observed the multinational Exercise ‘Shanti Prayas IV’ being conducted at the Birendra Peace Operation Training Centre (BPOTC), Panchkhal, Kavrepalchowk on Sunday.

He was briefed by the organizers about the exercise’s operations.

According to the Nepali Army, Admiral Aquilino observed both theoretical and practical activities related to the exercise and interacted with the participants.

He remarked that the successful execution of Peacekeeping Exercise IV will enhance the professional efficiency and mutual coordination capacity of the forces participating in United Nations peacekeeping missions.

Admiral Aquilino expressed his satisfaction in cooperating with the Nepali Army in such multinational exercises and extended his gratitude to all the participants in the exercise. He arrived in Kathmandu via New Delhi on Saturday to observe the exercise sponsored by the Nepali and US armies.

Shanti Prayas is a multinational peacekeeping exercise hosted rotationally by the Nepal Army and the US Indo-Pacific Command.
