After 13 Months Wait, NA Commences Commercial Flights from GBIA

Nepal Airlines, the national flag carrier of Nepal, has officially launched its commercial flights from Gautam Buddha International Airport (GBIA) in Bhairahawa. This development comes after a wait of 13 months since the airport’s operation began.

On Tuesday, an NA Airbus 320 successfully landed at the airport at 8 am, marking the commencement of commercial operations. The significant event was graced by the presence of Sudan Kirati, the Minister for Tourism and Civil Aviation, who warmly welcomed the flight upon its arrival.

The NA plane embarked on its journey from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and made its way to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa. This marks the beginning of an important air route between Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, and GBIA Bhairahawa.

The Nepal Airlines Corporation has announced that flights will operate on Tuesdays and Saturdays along the Kathmandu-Kuala Lumpur-GBIA Bhairahawa-Kathmandu route.
