Cell phones imported in Nepal of worth Rs 6 billion in two months

Mobile phone sets worth more than Rs 6 billion have entered Nepal from various countries in the last two months.

In the first two months (Shrawan and Bhadra) of the current fiscal year 2079/80, mobile phone sets worth more than six billion rupees were imported to Nepal.

According to the Department of Customs, 438,985 mobile sets worth Rs 6.18 billion have entered Nepal.

Similarly, mobile sets worth more than 4.67 billion rupees have entered Nepal from China alone.

Nepal had imported 1,498,765 mobile sets worth 10.36 billion rupees from different countries in the corresponding period of the last financial year.
