CPN (Unified Socialist) Threatens to Leave Ruling Coalition

CPN (Unified Socialist) Chairperson Madhav Kumar Nepal has warned that his party may exit the ruling coalition if the larger parties continue to ignore their concerns. Speaking at an event in Kathmandu organized by the party’s youth wing, Nepal emphasized the significance of each coalition partner, cautioning that the government’s stability hinges on mutual respect and cooperation among the six constituent parties.

Highlighting the recent political development, Nepal noted that a potential crisis was avoided when Prime Minister Pushpa Kumar Dahal demonstrated flexibility during the government formation in Sudurpashchim Province. “Our party’s leadership in Sudurpashchim Province and participation in several provincial cabinets are a testament to our commitment and influence in current politics,” he stated.

Nepal warned against any arrogance from larger parties, asserting that such behavior could lead to the coalition’s downfall. “The balance is delicate. If even one party withdraws its support, the government could collapse,” he explained.
