Chitwan National Park Reports Deaths of Tiger and Rhino

In a somber update from Chitwan National Park, a tiger and a rhino were discovered dead on Tuesday. The tiger was found by the national park’s patrol team along the bank of the Rapti River at Bhimpurghat near Sauraha. Officials indicated that the tiger likely succumbed to natural causes.

In a separate incident within the park, a male rhino was found dead at Lamichaur in Amaltari, Nawalpur around 9:45 am. Ganesh Tiwari, Information Officer at the park, stated that the rhino also appears to have died from natural causes.

Further investigations are ongoing to confirm the exact reasons for their deaths. The loss of these animals is a significant event for the biodiversity of Chitwan National Park, a key sanctuary for endangered species in Nepal.
