CoAS Sharma Heads to 13th IPACC in New Delhi; Rana Assumes NA Acting Chief Role

Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Prabhu Ram Sharma departed for New Delhi on Sunday to participate in the 13th Indo-Pacific Armies Chief Conference (IPACC).

At the Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA), Nepal Army (NA) Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana bid farewell to CoAS Sharma. The event was attended by NA Generals, officials from the Ministry of Defense, and other military officers.

During CoAS Sharma’s absence, Lieutenant General Saroj Pratap Rana will serve as the Acting Chief of Nepal Army. CoAS Sharma is expected to return to Nepal on September 28, 2023.

The conference is a collaborative effort between the Indian and American armies.

Representatives from Nepal, India, America, Australia, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Bhutan, Brunei Cambodia, Korea, Maldives, Mongolia, Myanmar, New Zealand and other countries are participating in the conference.
