Court Postpones Sandeep Lamichhane’s Rape Case Hearing

The scheduled hearing for the minor rape case involving cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane was postponed today in the Kathmandu District Court. The delay was attributed to an inadequate number of available judges.

According to Information Officer Deepak Dahal, only 21 out of the 30 judges assigned to the District Court were present for the scheduled hearing. Dahal revealed that of the nine absent judges, six are awaiting transfers, while the remaining three judges are currently on leave.

The rescheduled date for the hearing is yet to be announced, leaving the case in suspense as the legal proceedings are put on hold due to a shortage of available judges.
