Deputy Prime Minister Upendra Yadav Returns
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health and Population, Upendra Yadav, arrived back in Kathmandu early this morning after participating in the 57th session of the UN Population and Development Commission held in New York, USA.
During his visit, DPM Yadav engaged in several high-level meetings, including a notable discussion with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres. He expressed Nepal’s commitment to supporting efforts aimed at enhancing the efficacy of the United Nations.
At the Commission meeting, Yadav highlighted the severe impacts of climate change on least developed countries, including Nepal. He emphasized the necessity for international cooperation and strengthened multilateralism to address the critical challenges of the present times.
