Dipendra Singh Airee to Miss ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers Due to Injury

Dipendra Singh Airee, a key player in the Nepali national cricket team, is set to miss the ongoing ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers in Kathmandu after sustaining a significant injury during a practice session just before the match against Singapore on Monday.

Airee’s injury, which occurred in his left leg, required immediate medical attention. He was rushed to Medicity Hospital, where a detailed examination revealed the severity of the injury. Regrettably, it was confirmed that Airee would be unable to participate in the remaining matches of the qualifiers.

The incident took place just before the Nepal-Singapore match at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur. After receiving medical treatment, Airee made a courageous appearance at the match, showing up bandaged and on crutches to support his teammates.

In light of Airee’s absence, Vivek Yadav was included in the playing XI as a replacement. Nepal has made an impressive start in the ongoing tournament, securing a convincing victory over Singapore with an 8-wicket triumph.

As fans rally behind Airee for a swift recovery, Nepal’s national team continues its quest to qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup, despite the setback of losing one of its key players.
