West Indies ‘A’ Clinches Series Victory Against Nepal in T20 Clash

In a compelling showdown at the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, West Indies ‘A’ triumphed over Nepal by 28 runs in the fourth match of their T20 series, thereby clinching the series 3-1 with one game remaining.

Electing to bat first, the visitors set a robust target of 210 runs. Johnson Charles was a standout performer, racking up 58 runs to set the tone for West Indies ‘A’. He was ably supported by Andre David Stephon Fletcher, who played a scintillating innings scoring 84 runs, and Fabian Anthony Allen, who contributed a quick 33 runs. Nepal’s bowlers struggled to stem the flow of runs, though Kushal Bhurtel managed to snag two wickets, with Pratish GC taking one.

In response, Nepal’s captain Rohit Poudel put up a valiant fight scoring 82 runs, but the challenge proved too steep for the hosts. Support came from Sandeep Jora, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Gulsan Jha, each adding 19 runs, but they needed more to chase down the formidable target.

West Indies ‘A’ bowlers were sharp on the field, disrupting Nepal’s batting lineup effectively. Matthew Walter Forde and HR Walsh each took three wickets, demonstrating tight control and discipline, while FA Allen and G Motie each took two wickets, sealing the victory for their team.
