Government should address people’s dissatisfactions: NC leader Thapa

Nepali Congress general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has stressed the need for addressing the lately seen dissatisfaction of the people. Talking to media persons today, the former minister said voices against the system would weaken once people’s dissatisfaction is lessened.

“Nowadays, people’s dissatisfaction is growing. So, ill-intention has got its room to take advantage of enraged people’s dissatisfaction. Voices of those who have ill-intention and their numbers will decrease once people’s dissatisfaction decreases,” he said.

Saying common citizens in the republic can express their opinion that this system is not right, he said they can exercise their rights within the purview of the existing law.

“If someone does not like this system, they have the right to say that they do not like the system. But all can exercise their rights within the purview of the existing law. Voices against the system would fade by themselves once the current economic problems in the country are resolved,” he viewed.

On the economic problems seen in the country, the Prime Minister has started a consultation with all political parties, he informed. Mentioned that on the matter, the discussion had started with all parties including the ruling and opposition ones from Tuesday, and the talks should be concluded, he said.

The government should play a guardian for those businesspersons who are in trouble due to loans, he stressed. “There is no need for the government to look after those who have not utilised loans. The government should play a guardian for those who have utilised the loans.”

Lawmaker Thapa also ensured the NC’s support and help with all processes the government was trying to go through for the betterment of the country.
