Grand Campaign to Establish Sanatan Hindu State Nepal Formally Announced

Under the dynamic leadership of Nepali Congress MP and central member Shankar Bhandari, a momentous campaign aimed at establishing Sanatan Hindu State Nepal has been officially launched.

The formal announcement of this grand campaign took place amidst a program held at Baneshwar Banquet in Thapagaun, Kathmandu, drawing significant attention and support from various quarters.

At the core of the campaign’s objectives lies a call for solidarity from all well-wishers, including party leaders, general committee members, and congress representatives, to rally behind the cause of Hindu Rashtra Nepal.

Assuming pivotal roles within the campaign are Congress leader and former head of Biratnagar Metropolitan City Bhim Parajuli, alongside central member and MP Muktakumari Yadav, who have been appointed as the campaign’s general secretaries.

Although initially conceived in 2071 BS under the leadership of Lakshman Ghimire, the campaign has been revitalized under the stewardship of Bhandari, signifying a renewed vigor in its pursuit of the Sanatan Hindu vision.

This resurgence was prominently underscored during a recent central committee meeting of the NC, where 22 influential leaders, including central member Bhandari, presented a special supplementary proposal advocating for the adoption of a Vedic Sanatan Hindu perspective, emphasizing religious freedom, and advocating for the establishment of a Sanatan Hindu state.

The proposal received widespread endorsement, with notable signatories including central members Chandra Bhandari, Dilendra Prasad Badu, Pushpa Bhusal, and others, along with the expressed support of leaders such as Bhim Parajuli, Dinesh Koirala, and Dr. Dila Sangraula.

Furthermore, NC Bagmati province president Indra Bahadur Baniya and Gandaki province president Shukra Raj Sharma have also thrown their weight behind the cause, underscoring the growing momentum and consensus surrounding the campaign.

The culmination of these efforts saw the presentation of a document bearing 22 signatures to party president Sher Bahadur Deuba, signaling a united front within the Nepali Congress in championing the ideals of a Vedic Sanatan Hindu state with religious freedom at its core.
