Gulshan Jha’s LOL Moment: SEE Congratulations? I had not taken the exam!

In the World Cup Qualifier held in Zimbabwe, Nepal faced disappointment as they fell short of their expected success. However, amidst the team’s struggles, individual players stood out, including the all-rounder Gulshan Jha.

Gulshan, regarded as a rising star in Nepali cricket, showcased impressive performances with both bat and ball during the matches in Zimbabwe. Participating in six games, he amassed 139 runs, including a well-deserved half-century, and also claimed nine crucial wickets. With each competition, Gulshan’s fan base continues to grow.

Upon their return to Nepal, the national cricket team faced journalists’ inquiries at Tribhuvan Airport. Gulshan was specifically targeted and questioned about his experience in Zimbabwe. In response, he calmly stated, “Although the results were not in our favor, we gained valuable experience. We learned a lot and discovered new things.”

During the conversation, a journalist congratulated Gulshan for “passing SEE,” referring to the recently published Secondary Education Examination results. However, Gulshan burst into laughter, clarifying that he had not taken the exam.

By his response, the journalist said that the cricketer himself had been the subject of online congratulations, with many applauding his supposed academic achievement.

Gulshan quickly dismissed the news, saying, “I also saw those posts, but I have no idea how that information spread. It is completely fake.”

The day prior, following the publication of SEE results, numerous individuals took to social media to congratulate Gulshan on achieving a remarkable 3.60 Grade Point Average (GPA). However, sources close to his family revealed that Gulshan had dropped out after completing the 8th grade. Driven by his passion for cricket, he made the decision to forgo formal education, not even completing his school-level studies.
