IGP Kunwar returns home after attending INTERPOL general assembly

Nepal’s Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar has returned home after attending the 91st General Assembly of INTERPOL held in Vienna, Austria.

Nepal Interpol section chief SP Anupam Shumsher JBR and  IGP Kunwar’s delegation returned home after participating in the general assembly hosted by the INTERPOL Secretariat from November 28 to December 1.

IGP Kunwar led Nepal’s delegation at the general assembly where he had a courtesy call on the INTERPOL chairperson. A discussion was held among the chiefs of the national central bureau of 195 INTERPOL members for collaboration to make the world secure.

IGP Kunwar’s secretariat said, ‘The general assembly has decided to organize the 92nd general assembly in Glasgow of the United Kingdom in 2024 and the 93rd general assembly in Morocco in 2024.’

In the general assembly, Senior Sub Inspector(SSI) Purushottam Nepali was honored who successfully hoisting Nepal’s national flag, INTERPOL flag, and Nepal Police flag at the world’s highest summit, Mount Everest, on the occasion of 100 years of the establishment of INTERPOL.
