Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri to Visit Nepal on August 11

Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri is set to arrive in Nepal on August 11 for a two-day official visit, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA), Nepal. The visit comes at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart, Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal.

During his stay, Foreign Secretary Misri will engage in discussions aimed at further strengthening Nepal-India relations and advancing mutually beneficial cooperation between the two nations. The talks are expected to cover a range of topics, reflecting the deep and multifaceted ties between the two neighboring countries.

In addition to his meetings with Foreign Secretary Lamsal, Misri is scheduled to meet with several high-level dignitaries in Nepal, underscoring the significance of this visit in continuing the tradition of regular high-level exchanges between Nepal and India.

Vikram Misri, who took on the role of India’s Foreign Secretary on July 15, 2024, will be visiting Nepal for the first time in this capacity. The visit is anticipated to further enhance the diplomatic relationship and cooperation between the two countries.

The Indian Foreign Secretary will depart for India from Kathmandu on August 12.
