Key Suspect Apprehended in Murder of Bal Ekata Boarding School Principal

In a major breakthrough in the investigation of the brutal murder of Rupesh Swarnakar, the principal of Bal Ekata Boarding School, the police have successfully apprehended Sujit Kumar Singh, a key suspect in the case. Singh, believed to be an Indian national hailing from Bihar, was arrested on Tuesday night from Bishrampur Rural Municipality-3.

The arrest comes after an exhaustive two-month-long search for Singh, who, during the arrest, sustained gunshot wounds to his legs. Police acted swiftly, managing to seize a pistol and four bullets from Singh at the time of his apprehension. Currently, the alleged murderer is receiving medical treatment for his injuries at the Provincial Hospital in Kalaiya.

The tragic incident involving Principal Swarnakar unfolded on October 30 when he was fatally shot. The motive behind the murder is still under investigation, but authorities have made significant strides in solving the case.

Prior to Singh’s arrest, the police had already apprehended five individuals linked to the crime, including the main plotter identified as 22-year-old Radha Gupta of Kalaiya sub-metropolis-6 Madarsa tol, 34-year-old Jamil Akhtar, 26-year-old Riyaz Ansari of Rampur, 23-year-old Chandan Kumar, and Abhinav Kumar of Motihari, East Champaran, India.

The community remains on edge as they await further developments in this shocking and tragic case that has gripped the region. The police are expected to provide more details regarding the motive and the ongoing investigation in the coming days.
