Khatri elected President of Diaspora Nepali Forum in Portugal

The sixth general assembly of Diaspora Nepali Forum in Portugal has elected a new leadership under the chairmanship of Deepak Khatri. The assembly held in Lisbon on Monday elected a new 25-member executive committee of the Forum.

Suman Sharma Chaulagain was elected the vice president, Milan Regmi as secretary and Prakash Tamang and Manju Adhikari as under secretaries. Yagya Prasad Dumre, Puran Gharti, Naveen Kumar Thapa, Rajendra Prasad Dumre, Rajan Karki, Sunil Banjara, Sangeeta Sharma Silwal, Hemant KC, Shivsagar Budhathoki, Kamal Basnet, Suman Silwal, Chitraprasad Subedi, Suraj Bista, Ganesh Thapa, Kajiman Shrestha, Pushkar Panthi, Hemraj Subedi, Bhakta Singh, Maya Kharel and Yam Bahadur Purkoti were elected members unanimously.

The assembly was held under the chairmanship of outgoing President of the Forum Rajaram Lamichhane. President of the International Committee of the Nepali Diaspora, Sanjay Thapa, Secretary Hem Sherpa, Central Member Govinda Paudel, President of the Diaspora Nepali Forum in Spain, Kedar Dhungana, and President of the NRNA Portugal Umesh Khadka and others were present in the programme.
