Koshi Province: CM Karki Expands Government

Chief Minister Kedar Karki of Koshi province has recently bolstered the government with a second expansion of the cabinet since his appointment four months ago.

On Friday, four ministers and two state ministers were appointed, further solidifying the administration’s structure. Pradeep Kumar Sunuwar and Ram Kumar Khatri, representing the Nepali Congress, have been selected as ministers. Sunuwar will oversee the Ministry of Health, while Khatri will lead the Ministry of Industry, Agriculture, and Cooperative Development.

From the CPN-Maoist Center, Rajendra Karki and Narayan Magar have been appointed as ministers, with Karki taking charge of the Ministry of Social Development and Magar leading the Ministry of Drinking Water, Irrigation, and Energy.

Additionally, Indira Thapa and Sunita Kumari Gurung, both from the Maoist Center, have been named State Ministers. Thapa will focus on Economic Affairs and Planning, while Gurung will handle Internal Affairs and Law.

With the inclusion of these six individuals, the cabinet now comprises 10 members, reflecting the ongoing efforts to enhance governance and address key areas of development and administration in Koshi province.
