KP Oli to Host Festive Tea Reception on October 31

In a festive spirit, CPN-UML Chair KP Oli has announced a grand tea reception scheduled for October 31, celebrating the upcoming Bada Dashain, Tihar, Nepal Sambat, and Chhath festivals. The event is set to take place at the CPN-UML’s central office located in Chyasal, Lalitpur.

Gagan Bista, Chief of the UML Central Publicity and Publication Department, made the announcement, indicating that the reception would be a unifying moment for party members and supporters.

Furthermore, the CPN-UML has issued a directive to its related committees, emphasizing the importance of conducting general conventions at the district and municipality levels. This directive stipulates that these conventions must be concluded by February 12, 2024. The specific committees mentioned in this directive encompass district, local, and ward committees, as outlined in a press release by UML Central Organization Department Secretary Madhav Dhungel.

A recent meeting, chaired by party standing committee member and Department Chief Kashinath Adhikari, also endorsed the party membership authentication report. This report confirms that the memberships of 550,000 party members have been duly certified.

As the CPN-UML prepares for the festive season and takes steps to ensure its organizational strength, the tea reception and general conventions promise to play pivotal roles in the party’s continued activities and development.
