Madhes issues must be addressed: Chair Thakur
National Chairperson of Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP), Mahantha Thakur, has said he had raised the Madhes issues that were yet to be addressed by the State.
Talking to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) amidst the election campaign, the candidate for the Member of the House of Representatives from Mahottari-3, Thakur viewed he was struggling untiringly to ensure citizenship to Madhesi people. “Since the writing and announcement of the constitution, Madhes agenda was left unheard, so we continued dissent. Our struggle continues till the agenda is fully addressed,” Thakur reminded.
According to him, although the previous government had tried to address the citizenship problem, the contemptuous party politics failed the efforts. The LSP is for early address to this pressing problem, Thakur underscored.
He asserted that he was sure of his victory. Thakur is supported by other political parties- Nepali Congress, CPN Maoist Centre and CPN (Unified Socialist).
