Manang Air Helicopter Incident During Rescue Mission

Manang Air helicopter with the call sign 9N-ANJ experienced an incident today while on a rescue mission.

The helicopter had taken off from Lukla early in the morning but encountered difficulties during its landing at Lobuche. According to Ganendra Bhul, the information officer at the Civil Aviation Authority, this was not classified as an accident. He stated, “The helicopter, which departed from Lukla at 7:13 in the morning, overturned slightly during its landing in Lobuche.”

The helicopter was reportedly on a mission to provide assistance to a patient at the time of the incident. Fortunately, the sole occupant of the helicopter, Captain Prakash Sedhai, sustained only minor injuries. Authorities are currently investigating the incident further.
