Maoist Center Gears Up for Statute Convention in February, Legislative Drafting Committee Formed

In a recent development, the ruling Maoist Center has announced plans to conduct its Statute Convention in the second week of February. The decision was reached during a crucial meeting of the party’s office bearers, led by Vice Chairman and Spokesperson Agni Sapkota.

To ensure the smooth and effective organization of the Statute Convention, a Legislative Drafting Committee has been officially formed. The committee, as revealed by Sapkota, includes prominent party figures such as Vice Chairperson Pampha Bhusal, General Secretary Dev Gurung, Deputy General Secretaries Girirajmani Pokharel, Barshman Pun, and Janardhan Sharma, along with Secretaries Ganesh Sah and Ram Karki.

Agni Sapkota emphasized that the establishment of this committee is a strategic move aimed at facilitating a successful and well-organized Statute Convention. The inclusion of key party members with diverse expertise reflects a comprehensive approach to the drafting process, ensuring a thorough examination of the party’s statutes.
