My support for Deuba for the leader of the parliamentary party: Senior leader Poudel

Senior leader of Nepali Congress Ramchandra Poudel has said that he will propose Prime Minister and party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba as the leader of the Nepali Congress parliamentary party.

Leader Poudel, who reached Singha Darbar on Tuesday as a proponent of Deuba, said that because of the need to create an environment of trust within the Nepali Congress in the current uneasy situation, he decided to propose party chairman Sher Bahadur Deuba as the leader of the parliamentary party.

He also claimed that Chairman Deuba will be unopposed as the leader of the parliamentary party. But from the other side, party general secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa is contesting for the leader of the parliamentary party.

Party leader Dr. Shekhar Koirala will support Gagan Thapa. Leader Koirala also asked the MPs of the party to support Gagan as the leader of the parliamentary party.

From the establishment side, Prime Minister and Party Chairman Deuba has already gone to Singha Durbar to give a nomination for the parliamentary party leader.

Leader Paudel also asked the newly elected Congress MPs to unanimously elect party chairman Deuba as the leader of the parliamentary party.
