NA Chairman Timilsina Embarks on Official Visit to China

National Assembly (NA) Chairman Ganesh Prasad Timilsina has embarked on an official visit to China, leading a nine-member Nepali delegation. The purpose of their visit is to participate in the Fifth China-Tibet Tourism and Cultural Expo, which is set to take place in Lhasa, Tibet, on June 16-17. Chairman Timilsina will attend the event as the Chief Guest, signifying the importance of Nepal-China relations.

The Nepali delegation comprises Members of Parliament (MPs) Jeevan Pariyar, Dhawal Shumsher JBR, Pradip Yadav, Udaya Bahadur Bohora, Dipa Gurung, and Hari Ram Chaudhary. Additionally, Chairman Timilsina’s Chief Personal Secretary, Govinda Akela Paudel, and the Federal Parliament Secretariat’s Under Secretary, Ramhari Thapa, are also part of the delegation.

Before heading to the Tibet Expo, the delegation is scheduled to visit Beijing and Shanghai in China. In Beijing, Chairman Timilsina has planned bilateral talks with Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress (NPC), Zhao Leji, and Chairman of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), Wang Huning.

Chairman Timilsina is scheduled to return to Nepal on June 21.
