Nagdhunga Gold Smuggling Case: Chinese National Arrested

Chen Zhiwei, a Chinese national residing in Sohrakhutte, Kathmandu, has been arrested in connection with the seizure of two kilograms of gold at Nagdhunga. The Kathmandu District Police Range in Teku confirmed the arrest of Zhiwei on Friday, initiating necessary investigations and legal procedures. This incident has led to the apprehension of three individuals by the police.

A specialized team dispatched from the Central Investigation Bureau in Kathmandu successfully detained three individuals, including Chen Zhiwei. The other arrested individuals are identified as Gyalkhinchhe Tamang, Biru Tamang, and Sunil Bhujel, all hailing from Gosaikunda, Rasuwa.

The confiscated gold, amounting to two kilograms, was found concealed in a Scorpio car with the license plate number 01-028-CH-2696. The vehicle was en route from Rasuwa to Kathmandu when the police intercepted it at Nagdhunga.
