Nation’s Progress Hindered: RPP Advocates Street Movement Amid Current Challenges

In a recent Central Performance Committee meeting, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) declared that the current situation is hindering the nation’s progress and emphasized the necessity of a street movement. The party cited escalating crises in political, social, and economic spheres, combined with perceived leadership and governance failures, as reasons for their call to action.

The meeting resulted in the endorsement of a proposal supporting the restoration of the monarchy, reinstatement of a Hindu nation, abolition of federalism, and a demand for good governance and improved livelihoods. RPP Chairman Rajendra Lingden announced plans to collaborate with like-minded political parties, associations, and activists to gather support for upcoming street protests.

Looking ahead, the Central Working Committee is scheduled to convene in Kathmandu from December 17 to 19 to further strategize on their proposed initiatives. Additionally, the party decided to commemorate Earth Day and National Unity Day on Paush 27th at central and regional levels.

Expressing their commitment to participate in the upcoming National Assembly elections, the RPP assigned the responsibility of mobilizing support and engaging with other political entities for this endeavor to the party’s Political Department Chief and Senior Vice President, Buddhiman Tamang. Vice Chairman Hemjung Gurung has been entrusted with coordinating and facilitating preparations for the by-election in Ilam.
