Nawalparasi Jeep Accident Update: Death Toll Rises to Seven

Madhyabindu (Nawalparasi), Nov 12: In the aftermath of a jeep accident in Devchuli Municipality-9 in Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East) this morning, another individual who sustained severe injuries has succumbed to their injuries, bringing the total death toll to seven.

Chiran Aryal of Madhyabindu Municipality-2, who suffered serious injuries in the accident, passed away while undergoing treatment at Chitwan-based Old Medical College, as confirmed by Deputy Superintendent Bed Bahadur Paudel of the District Police Office, Nawalparasi (Bardaghat Susta East).

The tragic incident occurred when a jeep (Lu 1 Ja 3270) en route to Daldale Bazaar from Majhdanda of Baudikali rural municipality met with an accident at Goreghumti, Devchuli Municipality-9.

With this latest fatality, the number of people killed in the accident has reached seven, including three men and three women who lost their lives on the spot. The identities of five of the deceased have been established: the 26-year-old jeep driver Bahadur Ale Magar, 55-year-old Tekman Wantakki Magar, 52-year-old Kumari Rana, and 45-year-old Kamala Wantakki Magar of Majhdanda, Baudikali-6, along with 12-year-old Karisma Thada of Chulibojha, Bulingtar rural municipality-4.

The name and address of one of the deceased individuals remain unidentified. The jeep veered off the road and collided with a house on the roadside.
