Nepal Airlines Plane Departs from Tel Aviv, Carrying Nepali Citizens Back Home

A Nepal Airlines plane has departed from Tel Aviv, Israel, en route to Nepal, carrying Nepali citizens eager to return home from the conflict-ridden region. The 274-seater Airbus A330 of Nepal Airlines was dispatched to pick up stranded Nepali nationals.

The flight, with Nepali passengers onboard, is scheduled to touch down in Kathmandu at 1:30 pm on Thursday night. According to Bipin Subedi in Israel, passengers successfully completed all necessary procedures before boarding the flight.

Out of approximately 400 Nepali citizens desiring to return to Nepal, 253 individuals are set to make the journey home on Thursday via Nepal Airlines. Notably, Foreign Minister NP Saud has personally traveled to Israel to facilitate the reception of Nepali citizens.

The flight initiated its journey from Tribhuvan International Airport at 3:30 am on Thursday and later arrived at Tel Aviv International Airport.

This evacuation mission comes in response to the tragic loss of 10 Nepali students in an attack by the Palestinian militant group, Hamas, in Israel. In the wake of this devastating incident, the Nepali government is actively taking measures to rescue and repatriate other Nepali citizens affected by the ongoing conflict.
