Nepal Cricket Team Achieves World Records in 19th Asiad

Nepal’s cricket team secured a historic victory in the 19th Asiad, defeating Mongolia by an astounding margin of 273 runs. This remarkable triumph not only marked a momentous win for Nepal but also established a new world record for the largest margin of victory by a cricket team.

The record-breaking match took place on Wednesday morning at the Cricket Ground in China.

Nepal’s stellar performance in this game shattered multiple world records, cementing their place in cricket history. Despite losing the toss, Kushal Malla emerged as Nepal’s first record-setter by achieving the feat of the fastest century, scoring a hundred in just 34 balls and etching his name among the fastest century scorers globally.

Continuing the streak of remarkable achievements, Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee made history by becoming the fastest player to score a half-century. In an astonishing display of skill, he achieved a half-century in just 9 balls. Nepal concluded their innings with an impressive total of 314 runs, having lost only 3 wickets within the stipulated 20 overs.
