Nepal Law Society turns 41

The Nepal Law Society (NLS) that was established for the enhancement of legal sector of the country has turned 41 years. The organization was established in 1982.

Expressing gratefulness to its founders on the occasion, the Society has also extended best wishes to all the members, stakeholders and well-wishers of the institution.

Executive Director of the Society, Krishna Man Pradhan informed that the organization has been carrying out several initiatives for rule of the law, democracy and independent judiciary.

The Society has laid emphasis on the views that the fruits of democracy should reach to the people’s level and urged all stakeholders to come up with shared understanding and stance to that end.

Also on the occasion, the Society has appealed to all three organs of the State, the civil society and stakeholders to resolve not to repeat the past mistakes and to promote positive aspects for the institutional development and advancement of democracy as envisaged by the federal democratic republic.
