Nepal Recommends Foreign Secretary Sewa Lamsal as Ambassador to Belgium

The Government of Nepal has recommended Sewa Lamsal, the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, for the position of Nepalese Ambassador to Belgium. The decision was made during a meeting of the Council of Ministers on Thursday, according to a government minister.
Lamsal, who made history as the first female Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was appointed to the role on December 15, 2023. Her nomination as ambassador reflects the government’s confidence in her leadership and diplomatic experience.
If confirmed, Lamsal will represent Nepal in Belgium, furthering diplomatic ties and strengthening the relationship between the two nations.
