NEPSE Sees Decrease in Last Trading Day of the Week

On the final trading day of the week, Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a decline, with a decrease of 15.37 points, settling at 2,048.57 points by the week’s end.

Despite the overall downturn, Thursday saw an uptick in turnover compared to Wednesday. Shares worth Rs 4.31 billion exchanged hands, marking an increase from Rs 3.49 billion the previous day.

Among the listed companies, the prices of 48 witnessed an increase, while 188 saw a decline, with eight remaining unchanged.

Across various sectors, except for Trading, which saw an 18-point increase, all other sectors experienced a decrease. Banking slipped by 7 points, Development bank by 18 points, Finance by 3 points, Hotel and Tourism by 53 points, Hydropower by 21 points, Life insurance by 86 points, Manufacturing by 4 points, Microfinance by 53 points, Non-life insurance by 89 points, and Other groups by 14 points.
