New Measures Required to Curb Criminal Activities, Says National Security Advisor

In a recent interaction program on National Security held at the Nepal Police Headquarters, Shanker Das Bairagi, the National Security Advisor of the National Security Council, emphasized the need for devising new measures to combat criminal activities, which have been taking place in different ways.

Addressing the gathering, Bairagi called for the Nepal Police to focus on capacity building and technological advancements, thereby strengthening the organization’s capabilities. He stressed the importance of adopting modern technologies and techniques to effectively address evolving criminal tactics.

Furthermore, the National Security Advisor highlighted the necessity of establishing an integrated information mechanism among all stakeholders. By enhancing coordination between various national security agencies, the country’s security apparatus can be further strengthened, leading to a more robust response to criminal activities.

During the event, Home Secretary Dinesh Bhattarai commended the efforts of the Nepal Police in maintaining law and order, despite facing resource constraints. Their commitment and dedication to upholding peace and security have played a vital role in safeguarding the nation.

Inspector General of Nepal Police, Basanta Bahadur Kunwar, also underscored the pivotal role of the Nepal Police in implementing and enforcing laws related to national security. Their contributions have been instrumental in ensuring the safety and well-being of the citizens.
