Pakistan Embassy Celebrates 84th National Day with Flag Hoisting Ceremony

The Embassy of Pakistan in Kathmandu marked the 84th National Day of Pakistan with a Flag Hoisting Ceremony today. Ambassador Abrar H Hashmi led the event by hoisting the National Flag, joined by members of the Pakistani community, friends of Pakistan, and embassy officials and their families.

Messages from Pakistan’s top leadership were shared during the ceremony, reflecting on the significance of the occasion and the nation’s aspirations for the future. President Asif Ali Zardari paid tribute to the visionary leadership of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the sacrifices of Pakistan’s forefathers in securing independence. He also reiterated Pakistan’s support for the rights of Kashmiri and Palestinian brethren.

Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif extended felicitations to Pakistanis worldwide on ‘Pakistan Day’, expressing determination to overcome challenges such as inflation and terrorism, and to steer Pakistan towards peace, progress, and stability.

Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar greeted Overseas Pakistanis and emphasized their crucial role in the country’s development. He highlighted Pakistan’s commitment to international law and the UN Charter.

Ambassador Hashmi underscored the historic ties between Pakistan and Nepal, emphasizing efforts to strengthen bilateral relations further. He commended the resolve of Muslims in 1940 and ongoing efforts to ensure Pakistan’s prosperity.
