PM Dahal Meets President Paudel Ahead of COP-28 Departure

In a crucial pre-departure meeting, Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ engaged in discussions with President Ram Chandra Paudel at the Office of the President, Sheetal Niwas, on Wednesday. The meeting held significance as it preceded the Prime Minister’s departure for the United Arab Emirates to attend the 28th Conference of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP-28).

The Prime Minister, along with a delegation, is scheduled to depart for Dubai at 9 PM tonight to participate in the international conference focused on addressing global climate challenges.

President Paudel emphasized the importance of drawing the world community’s attention to critical issues such as climate change, mountain rescue, and mountain conservation during the COP-28. He suggested that these topics should be at the forefront of Nepal’s representation, and urged Prime Minister Prachanda to actively work towards creating a conducive environment for Nepal to benefit from the global discussions.

Prime Minister Prachanda will return to Nepal on December 3, following his participation in the COP-28 conference.
