Prime Minister Prachanda Gears Up for Uganda Visit

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is gearing up for an official visit to Uganda to attend the 19th Summit of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM). The summit is scheduled to take place in Kampala, Uganda’s capital, from January 17 to 20.

Preparations are underway for the Prime Minister’s participation in this crucial international gathering, aimed at fostering cooperation and dialogue among non-aligned nations. Sources from Baluwatar suggest that the Prime Minister is anticipated to depart for Uganda on Magh 1, although the exact date remains to be officially confirmed.

Prime Minister Prachanda’s Press Adviser, Govinda Acharya, emphasized that the detailed itinerary is yet to be finalized. He mentioned that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs will provide the official information once all arrangements are completed.

“At this point, a concrete program has not been decided,” stated Acharya. The summit is set to commence with a significant foreign ministerial meeting on January 15, setting the stage for the subsequent discussions and collaborations during the main summit.

The Non-Aligned Movement, a grouping of nations not formally aligned with any major power bloc, plays a crucial role in promoting peace, stability, and cooperation on the global stage.
