Raghubir Mahaseth Appointed Acting PM

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport, Raghubir Mahaseth, has been appointed as the Acting Prime Minister of Nepal. This significant decision was made by President Ram Chandra Poudel on the recommendation of Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

Prime Minister Dahal’s departure for New Delhi on Sunday afternoon to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi paved the way for Mahaseth’s interim leadership. With PM Dahal set to return home tomorrow, Mahaseth assumes the responsibilities of the highest office in the land.
